Who are we looking for?
We are at a pivotal time in the energy industry. Powerhouse Innovation is hiring an Executive Vice President to lean in to load growth driven by AI data centers, re-industrialization, and electrification. This person will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and will empower the full Powerhouse Innovation team to deliver best-in-class support to our clients.
What you will be working on:
Sales & Business Development
Function as Head of Sales to source, negotiate, and close new and renewal business with the support of a small sales team
Secure $200K–$1M+ engagements, with 4–12 month sales cycles, multi-threaded across CVC, innovation, and M&A teams
Define the top 50 key accounts across data center developers, related product and service providers, and energy technology companies and own the account-based marketing strategy in partnership with the Director of Marketing and Communications
Define and own the company's multi-year growth strategy, with clear revenue targets and KPIs
Present quarterly sales and performance updates to the Advisory Board and CEO
People Management and Operations
Structure organizational interfaces and align incentives across Sales, Marketing, and Client Services teams to optimize collaboration and ensure the team can deliver on annual revenue targets
Build a culture of open ideation and data-informed decision-making to foster alignment around the company’s annual goals and longer-term growth objectives
Establish individual performance and development goals with clear metrics, and develop key personnel into autonomous and effective leaders
Embody and strengthen Powerhouse Innovation’s values through model leadership and team empowerment
Oversee financial planning and reporting
About you:
Demonstrated skills
15+ years of relevant sales and corporate leadership experience
Proven track record selling six- and seven-figure advisory/consulting engagements to technology companies, data center developers, or comparable Fortune 100 tech buyers
Existing senior relationships in corporate venture, corporate innovation, or infrastructure strategy at one or more target accounts
Track record of hiring and developing junior sales team members into independent closers
Fluency in the technology and infrastructure for data centers, manufacturing, industry, and energy technology

Compensation
The on target earnings range for the EVP position is $280-350K ($180-250K base), commensurate with experience, with 100% attainment of annual sales targets, plus equity. Variable compensation is tied to team revenue performance, with uncapped earning potential.
